Your role: Senior Sales Representative - Zona Murcia
The Sales Representative is a dynamic and results-oriented professional responsible for driving Elanco's sales strategy and achieving business objectives within an assigned territory. This role focuses on building strong customer relationships, delivering exceptional value, and ensuring the successful promotion and sell-out of Elanco's innovative pet health products. The ideal candidate is passionate about animal health, possesses strong analytical skills, and is committed to continuous improvement and excellence.
Your Responsibilities:
The Sales Representative will be responsible for a comprehensive range of activities designed to drive sales growth, foster strong customer relationships, and ensure market penetration within their assigned territory. Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Sales Execution & Business Growth:
Execute Elanco's strategic sales plan to achieve ambitious business goals and foster sustainable growth within the assigned territory.
Take full ownership of sales objectives, consistently exceeding targets within assigned accounts.
Drive Pet Health portfolio growth across the territory.
Identify opportunities and implement plans to grow Elanco's market share.
Monitor, evaluate, and act on sales deviations at product or partner level, developing and implementing corrective actions.
Customer Relationship Management & Value Delivery:
Build and nurture strong, lasting customer relationships, enhancing their experience through Elanco's innovative products, expert people, and impactful projects.
Cultivate long-term relationships with customers, distributors, and key influencers to promote the Elanco brand and business goals.
Identify and assess customer needs, uncovering solvable problems and opportunities, and incorporating the Elanco product portfolio as part of the solution.
Represent the "voice of the customer" to Elanco management and marketing, ensuring customer insights inform strategic decisions.
Demand Realization & Account Management:
Drive Demand Realization by delivering exceptional customer value, expanding our pet health business, and ensuring robust sell-out performance across the defined territory.
Strategically manage key Pet Health Accounts and optimize the Distribution channel to maximize market penetration and sales efficiency.
Manage key customer accounts in expansion markets.
Ensure effective sell-out plans in Pet Health Accounts and successful sell-in at the distributor level.
Lead business development initiatives for Pet Health Accounts.
Marketing & Performance Monitoring:
Implement all marketing activities effectively in the field.
Consistently meet and surpass quarterly sales targets by proactively promoting Elanco's presence and portfolio within identified high-potential accounts.
Monitor and track business results, adapting approaches and strategies as appropriate, and providing feedback to marketing and other functions for input and support.
Ensure the collection of correct data to monitor sell-in, sell-out, and stock in trade.
Maintain CRM compliance, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
Drive Elanco customer value selling skills programs in Pet Health.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, or a related field is highly preferred.
Professional Experience: A minimum of 3 years of proven expertise in veterinary clinics, pet food industry, sales within the Animal Health sector, or a technical veterinarian role.
Language Proficiency: High level of proficiency in English (spoken and written).
Attitude & Culture: Demonstrates a positive attitude and strong alignment with Elanco's Cultural Pillars.
Industry Passion: Possesses a genuine passion for the animal health industry.
Proactivity & Drive: Inquisitive, self-starting, and strongly results-oriented.
