Role Overview
We are seeking an intermediate-level Software Engineer to help build modern, secure, and scalable software that advances pharmaceutical R&D, clinical operations, and compliant data solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver applications, services, and integrations that support drug discovery, clinical trial management, regulatory and pharmacovigilance. This role is ideal for engineers with strong fundamentals, hands-on experience shipping production systems, and an interest in regulated environments where data integrity, privacy, and auditability are paramount.
What will you do in this role
- Design, implement, test, and maintain backend and/or frontend services and applications
- Collaborate with Product Managers/Business Analysts, UI/UX designers, and other engineers to deliver features end-to-end
- Develop clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices
- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and uphold engineering standards
- Contribute to system architecture, technical design, and technology selection
- Build and maintain unit tests and CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable releases
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize systems for performance, scalability, and cost
- Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge through documentation and demos
- Ensure security, compliance, and data privacy best practices are integrated into solutions
What should you have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3-7 years of professional software engineering experience
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, NodeJS)
- Experience building production systems (APIs, microservices, or web applications)
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
- Hands-on experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with version control (GitHub Actions) and collaborative development (Git) workflows
- Experience with unit testing, addressing issues identified during system integration, and user acceptance testing
- Experience deploying and operating applications in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure)
Preferred Qualifications
- Have basic data science knowledge and Preferable experience in building GenAI solutions.
- Experience in Other backend framework such as Java or Node.js.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Frontend experience with modern frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) and TypeScript
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Knowledge of security best practices (e.g., parameterized queries, input validation, secrets management, error handling, IAM)
- Experience with observability tools (logging, metrics, tracing)
- Performance tuning and cost optimization in cloud environments
