Job Details The SAP Systems Administrator is responsible for ensuring the continuous reliability, performance, and support of the SAP systems environment. This role involves managing various SAP modules—including Administration, Sales, and Distribution—while overseeing system applications, resolving technical issues, and planning for future system growth.
Key responsibilities include reviewing change requests, coordinating software builds, preparing release documentation, resolving production issues, and managing tracking and reporting activities. The SAP Systems Administrator must have a strong understanding of technical infrastructure standards and integration requirements across SAP modules.
In this role, administrators assess the business impact of system and application issues to determine appropriate severity levels. They monitor system performance, execute contingency plans in case of outages, troubleshoot a wide range of technical problems, and provide Level II support to the Help Desk.
Additionally, SAP Systems Administrators participate in SAP implementation projects, including initial system installations, upgrades, patches, and updates, ensuring smooth deployment and ongoing optimization of the SAP landscape.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Works under the guidance of the manager on assigned projects and is fully accountable for deliverables.
- Manages and contributes to multiple projects ranging from high to highly complex in nature.
- Maintains SAP systems and applications, providing support and training to end users for effective SAP system and application usage.
- Supports the integration of changes across test, pre‑production, and production environments.
- Collaborates with the QA/Testing team to ensure appropriate and adequate testing is completed before implementing any changes.
- Participates in the installation and deployment of upgrades, patches, and enhancements for the enterprise SAP system.
- Follows established technical checklists and procedures to ensure successful completion of upgrades.
- Participates in system-wide updates, upgrades, and fixes to ensure optimal system performance.
- Ensures ongoing performance, stability, and reliability of SAP systems.
- Assesses risks associated with system changes and ensures mitigation strategies are in place before execution.
- Responds to escalated system issues and provides timely technical resolution.
- Monitors system performance and maintains comprehensive performance metrics for all key system components.
- Identifies risks and recommends or implements corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintains historical reports, identifies recurring issues, and implements long-term solutions.
- Develops automation scripts to improve efficiency and streamline processes.
- Prepares technical documentation related to server/client configurations, hardware/software specifications, and network setups for customer support and internal teams.
- Acts as a technical lead for SAP projects when required.
- Provides coaching, guidance, and mentorship to less experienced team members.
- Participates in on‑call support, requiring 1 week of on‑call duty every 2 months and 1 weekend of support each month.

Work Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in business processes and/or SAP implementation.
- Strong experience in systems administration.
- Strong experience in database administration.
- Hands-on experience in the implementation, operations, and performance management of multiple SAP technologies, including(SAP S/4HANA, SAP PO, SAP Fiori, SAP Solution Manager, SAP BTP, SAP LVM, SAP HANA Cockpit, SAP SLT, SAP DS/IS, SAP ECC on Oracle Database, SAP ECC/S/4HANA on SAP HANA)
- Experience working with SAP environments in On-Premise setups.
- Experience with SAP deployments on Public Cloud platforms(Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent relevant experience).
