Produce Salesperson\r\n\r\nDepartment: Sales\r\nLocation: NJ or FL\r\nReports to: VP Sales\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nPosition Overview\r\n\r\nSeald Sweet LLC / Greenyard Logistics is seeking an experienced Produce Salesperson to join our growing commercial organization.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nSeald Sweet markets a diversified and expanding portfolio of fresh produce commodities, including citrus, grapes, apples, pears, avocados, mangoes, blueberries, lychees, tropicals, and more—continuously broadening our “basket” to meet evolving customer needs.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThis role works closely with senior executive sales leadership and plays a critical part in driving profitable growth, maximizing grower returns, and strengthening long-term customer partnerships across retail, wholesale, and food service channels.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe Produce Salesperson reports directly to the Vice President of Sales and is expected to bring strong commercial execution, disciplined financial ownership, and excellent communication in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThis is an opportunity to join acompany with a strong legacy in citrus and an exciting growth strategy expanding into a broader North American produce platform. The role offers meaningful commercial ownership, exposure to a diversified commodity basket, and the ability to drive profitable growth with key customers.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nSales Execution & Market Growth\r\n\r\n\r\n\tExecute sales strategies across Seald Sweet’s full commodity portfolio\r\n\tManage and grow customer accounts while expanding existing markets\r\n\tIdentify and develop new sales opportunities, with a focus on strategic retail partnerships\r\n\tSupport “wider basket” growth by cross-selling additional commodities to key customers\r\n\tParticipate actively in sales meetings, seasonal planning, and commercial discussions\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nCustomer Relationship Management\r\n\r\n\r\n\tBuild and maintain strong, professional relationships with customers and internal stakeholders\r\n\tDeliver high customer satisfaction through responsiveness, reliability, and clear communication\r\n\tPartner cross-functionally to align sales commitments with supply availability and service expectations\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nFinancial & Commercial Ownership\r\n\r\n\r\n\tMaximize pricing, margins, and overall financial performance\r\n\tMaintain disciplined deal execution and strong internal sales controls\r\n\tMonitor and minimize exposure related to:\r\n\tAccounts receivable and collections\r\n\tShort pays, consignment, and MG deals\r\n\tClaims, returns, settlements, and deductions\r\n\tAdvances and other program-related risks\r\n\tProactively alert leadership to issues with significant financial or operational impact\r\n\tProvide timely reporting on market conditions, sales outlook, and performance risks\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nSupply & Operational Alignment\r\n\r\n\r\n\tMaintain a thorough understanding of supply base, product availability, and logistics realities\r\n\tCoordinate internally to ensure alignment between sourcing, inventory, sales execution, and customer needs\r\n\tContribute to continuous improvement of sales workflows and execution discipline\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nEssential Skills & Competencies\r\n\r\n\r\n\tProven success in fresh produce sales and customer account growth\r\n\tStrong understanding of wholesale and retail produce markets\r\n\tExcellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills\r\n\tHigh financial acumen: pricing discipline, margin management, claims and AR exposure\r\n\tHighly organized, detail-oriented, and execution-focused\r\n\tProactive problem solver with strong follow-through and ownership mentality\r\n\tTeam-oriented mindset with the ability to operate independently\r\n\tProficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office, and CRM systems\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nRequirements\r\n\r\n\r\n\t7-8 years of progressive experience in fresh produce sales (retail and/or wholesale)\r\n\tDemonstrated ability to manage strategic customer relationships and deliver profitable growth\r\n\tDeep understanding of produce programs, supply dynamics, and commercial risk management\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nLocation\r\n\r\n\r\n\tStandard office hours, Monday through Friday 8AM - 5PM.\r\n\tMay require occasional overtime during peak seasons or as needed to support sales activities.\r\n\tThis position may involve light physical activity such as packing materials and organizing files. \r\n\tSitting at a desk for long periods of time.\r\n\tMust be in person, in the office daily. Not a remote position.\r\n\tThis role may be based out of Swedesboro, NJ or Vero Beach, FL with flexibility depending on customer coverage and business needs.\r\n\r\n
