Provides administrative and clerical support to the feed production department. The role ensures smooth daily operations by handling documentation, scheduling, record-keeping, and communication related to feed manufacturing, raw materials, and finished products. \r\nKey Responsibilities \tPrepare, type, and maintain production reports, daily logs, and batch records \tRecord raw material usage, feed formulations, and production output \tCoordinate production schedules with supervisors and mill operators \tMaintain inventory records for raw materials, additives, and finished feeds \tProcess purchase orders, delivery notes, and production-related documents \tFile and organize quality control, safety, and compliance documents \tAssist in tracking equipment maintenance schedules and downtime reports \tCommunicate with suppliers, warehouse staff, and management as required \tHandle correspondence, phone calls, and emails related to production activities \tHelp with customers at the counter and scale daily \tDaily, weekly, monthly feed sampling and testing \tAssist Feed Department Manager as needed Skills and Competencies \tStrong organizational and record-keeping skills \tGood written and verbal communication skills \tProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar software \tBasic understanding of feed production processes and inventory systems \tAttention to detail and ability to work under pressure \tTime management and multitasking abilities \tAbility to lift 50 lbs Qualifications \tPrevious experience in a manufacturing, feed mill, or agricultural environment is an advantage \tBasic knowledge of animal feed production or agriculture is a plus \tExperience or Education in Office Administration or Business Administration Working Conditions \tOffice-based with regular interaction with production floor personnel \tMay require occasional overtime during peak production periods \tWill be working outside from time to time or as needed to complete said tasks. \t\t\t \t\t\tFor over 55 years, employers and employees in all areas of agriculture have worked with agriCAREERS, INC. to fulfill their employment needs in agribusiness, agronomy, seed, farm production, banking & finance, and the food industries.
