Our client is a family-owned and operated dryland farming and Wagyu breeding/backgrounding enterprise located approximately 85km north-east of Clermont and 100km from Moranbah. The business spans three aggregating properties covering 45,000 acres, including 20,000 acres of dryland farming used to grow forage crops for backgrounding steers. The successful candidate within this role will report directly to the Farm Manager/Operations Manager. This role would suit an experienced machinery operator or someone with an agricultural background eager to expand their skillset within a progressive and well-resourced operation that invests in its people. An immediate start is available.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Operate modern broadacre machinery across all stages of the cropping program (planting, spraying, harvesting).
- Perform general farm duties including support with infrastructure works as required.
- Maintain machinery and equipment to a high operational and presentation standard.
- Work collaboratively within a team environment to meet seasonal production targets.
Selection Criteria:
- Proven experience operating machinery within a cropping or broadacre farming environment (highly regarded).
- Sound understanding of dryland broadacre cropping operations.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented with a positive attitude.
- Current driver's licence (truck licence highly advantageous).
