Job Description: Our client is seeking a Companion Animal Veterinarian to join a growing veterinary clinic located in Hobsonville, Auckland. This part-time opportunity offers the chance to work in a supportive, community-focused practice that combines private companion animal care with meaningful shelter medicine through collaboration with the local SPCA.
The clinic is modern and well-equipped with advanced diagnostic tools including digital radiography, ultrasound and a fully integrated in-house laboratory. Working alongside experienced veterinarians and a skilled nursing team, the successful candidate will manage a varied caseload involving consultations, routine surgery and preventative healthcare while also supporting animal welfare work within the SPCA program.
Qualifications Needed:
- Degree in Veterinary Medicine or Veterinary Science from an accredited institution
- Eligibility for registration with the Veterinary Council of New Zealand
- Two to three years of experience in companion animal practice preferred
- Confidence performing general practice consultations and routine surgical procedures
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team
Package:
- Competitive salary paid pro-rata based on part-time hours worked
- Part-time schedule typically Monday, Tuesday and Friday with occasional Saturdays
