Your
missions :
Ceva Santé Animale is seeking a Quality Control Manager for a permanent position, to be filled immediately, based at its Libourne Campus, 30 minutes from Bordeaux (33).
As Quality Control Manager, you will oversee all activities within the site’s Quality Control laboratory. You will play a key role in the product release process and, as such, ensure the laboratory’s operational performance, guarantee regulatory compliance, and support the department’s transformation towards excellence and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Control Management
Supervise the performance of controls in accordance with quality requirements, deadlines and budgets.
Ensure the detection of potential deviations and the implementation of corrective actions.
Quality System & Documentation
Validate QC documents: methods, specifications, procedures, results.
Contribute to the quality review of regulatory dossiers.
Audits & Inspections
Preparing, organising and leading internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.
Ensuring compliance and the availability of items required for audits.
Budget Management and Performance
Managing the QC budget and associated P&L.
Developing performance KPIs.
Identifying opportunities for cost and resource optimisation.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with quality, safety and HSE standards.
Prioritise the management of deviations and actively participate in
Continuous Improvement
Implement standards of operational excellence.
Lead or support cross-functional improvement projects.
Projects and CAPEX
Define the CAPEX requirements necessary for the implementation of the laboratory’s medium- to long-term strategy.
Participate in the Campus CAPEX committee.
Sponsor QC projects (method transfer, new equipment, process optimisation).
Management
Manage a team of around 60 staff via 4–5 supervisors.
Develop skills, conduct annual appraisals and oversee training plans.
Actively contribute to strengthening the commitment of QC teams on a day-to-day basis.
Your
profile :
You hold a master’s degree or a PhD in science (chemistry, biology, pharmacy) and have proven experience in team management within a QC department.
You are able to make decisions, organise and unite teams in a demanding environment, whilst supporting change.
As an expert in audits, GMP regulations, analytical sciences and continuous improvement, you are also proficient in quality management systems (QMS) and the IT tools required to manage operations.
As a committed leader, you motivate and inspire your teams.
Your communication style is clear, collaborative and empathetic.
With a customer-focused approach, you analyse situations quickly, simplify complex issues and propose effective solutions.
Fluency in written and spoken English is essential for this role.
