Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and organized administrative assistant or receptionist to join our dedicated team at our veterinary clinic. We are looking to hire someone who is dependable and consistent. This role requires a love for animals and an understanding of veterinary practices, ensuring that both clients and their pets feel welcomed and cared for during their visits.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, while ensuring confidentiality.
Helping to fill prescriptions
Assisting our veterinary technicians with daily tasks
Assist veterinary staff with administrative tasks as needed, including preparing examination rooms and managing inventory of supplies.
Stay updated on veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and clinic protocols to provide informed support to clients.
Answer phone and assist with scheduling appointments, checking in appointments, checking clients out.
Assisting with surgery and drop off intakes.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care environment is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and basic pet care practices is highly desirable.
Ability to arrive at work on time and to all scheduled shifts is required.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members.
Ability to learn quickly and follow directions is a must.
Previous experience in reception, answering phone, and handling money.
