Summary

We are seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team at Eastport Animal Hospital. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care for our patients while supporting our veterinarians in various medical procedures. Your expertise will contribute to our mission of ensuring the health and well-being of animals.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
Perform laboratory tests and analyze results to aid in diagnosis.
Provide compassionate care to animals, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by veterinarians.
Maintain accurate medical records for all patients.
Educate pet owners on proper animal care and health practices.
Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments.

Requirements

Certification as a Veterinary Technician.
Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and husbandry practices.
Experience with laboratory procedures and diagnostics preferred.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately under various circumstances.
