We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. This role involves diagnosing and treating various animal health issues, performing surgeries, and educating pet owners on proper animal care. As a Veterinarian, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of pets while fostering a positive environment for both animals and their owners.

Duties

Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health status.
Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and other health issues in pets.
Perform surgical procedures as needed, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques.
Administer vaccinations and medications according to established protocols.
Provide guidance to pet owners on nutrition, grooming, and overall animal care.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.
Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
Valid veterinary license to practice in the state of employment.
Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal husbandry, and critical care practices.
Experience with dog handling and general animal handling techniques.
Familiarity with laboratory procedures relevant to veterinary diagnostics.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with pet owners and team members.
A compassionate approach towards animals and their owners, demonstrating empathy in all interactions.
Previous experience in pet grooming is a plus but not required.

Pay: $135,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
