Position Overview

At Doylestown Veterinary Hospital, our Veterinary Technicians can expect to:

Provide top-level patient care, assisting our doctors in a fast-paced clinical setting
Participate in surgeries, dental procedures, and other treatments, ensuring patient safety and comfort
Conduct radiology, venipuncture, and laboratory tests with careful attention to detail
Manage anesthetics, sedatives, and pain relief measures under doctor supervision
Perform surgical prep, place IV catheters, and closely monitor pets post-op
Collaborate with our integrative care team to support overall health and recovery
Maintain thorough, accurate medical records in line with clinic protocols

Requirements

Must be a Licensed or Certified Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT), or eligible for certification, with at least 1 year of field experience
Must agree to be vaccinated for rabies within 30 days of hire, with reimbursement from Doylestown Veterinary Hospital upon completion. If you are already vaccinated, proof of vaccination is required.
Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted and handling animals of all sizes and dispositions
Eager to collaborate, flexible with change, and committed to clear communication
Displays compassion and enthusiasm for helping both pets and their owners

Scheduling

Schedules may vary from week to week, and are published at least 2 weeks in advance. Availability for at least two Fridays and two Saturdays each month is required, and flexibility may be needed for emergencies or shifting business demands.
