Summary
We are seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Goodison Veterinary Center in the United States. In this vital role, you will contribute to our mission by assisting veterinarians in delivering high-quality care to our animal patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout their visit.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures.
- Provide compassionate care to animals, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment.
- Handle and restrain animals safely during treatments.
- Assist with laboratory tests and procedures as required.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care practices.
- Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal handling techniques.
- Ability to administer medications accurately.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with pet owners.
- Experience in animal husbandry is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures is a plus.
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
