Parkview Animal Hospital, a well-established small animal practice with two full-time veterinarians, is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative (CSR) with at least 3 years of experience to join our dedicated and compassionate team.
As the first point of contact for our clients and their pets, the ideal candidate will be friendly, professional, and proactive—able to anticipate needs, show initiative, and help keep daily operations running smoothly. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and patients in a warm, welcoming manner with professionalism, empathy, and compassion
- Answer and manage multi-line phone calls with professionalism
- Schedule appointments, follow-ups, and manage the appointment calendar efficiently, accurately, and with attention to detail
- Process invoices, handle payments, and maintain up-to-date client and patient records
- Perform data entry, filing, and email correspondence accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and front desk
- Demonstrate foresight and initiative in anticipating needs and supporting team members
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding services, policies, and general pet care questions
- Support client education regarding basic care, medications, and treatment plans
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of veterinary or medical receptionist experience (required)
- Proficiency with veterinary management software required, Avimarak preferred but not required
- Exceptional customer service, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Professional, reliable, and self-motivated with a team-oriented mindset
- Highly attentive to detail with multitasking abilities
- Understanding of preventive care, treatment plans, and veterinary terminology
- Calm and compassionate under pressure, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with care
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, skilled in active listening and clear communication communicates with clarity and confidence
- Must be available for alternating Saturdays and Sundays
