For more information please visit www.andersonsinc.com.Our Wholesale 1st Shift Operations Crewleaders are responsible for working as a part of a Fertilizer production crew and providing leadership training work direction coordination and problem solving.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the activities of a smaller operations team including tasks projects and production plansEnsures efficient use of labor and equipmentConduct daily shift meetings; provide training and work direction; oversee assigned crew to ensure safe efficient and cost-effective operationsMonitor all associated equipment and processes; identify potential issues; take appropriate action such as resolving minor issues performing minor maintenance or escalating issue for resolution as necessaryProvide input and recommendations to other plant departments that will ensure consistent and optimal operations efficiencyTrain and onboard new operations employeesWhat is expected of you and others at this levelHas developed expertise typically through a combination of job-related training and considerable on the job experienceTypically acts as a lead coordinating the work of others but is not a supervisorWorks autonomously within established procedures and practicesHas developed a specialized level of skill to perform assigned tasksMinimum Qualifications & SkillsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent required2 years minimumâ relevant production and leadership experience requiredPhysical Requirements and Working EnvironmentMust be able to stand/sit for an extended period of timeAbility to frequently lift/push/pull up to 60 poundsMust be able to climb/stoop/kneel at heights up to 100 feetWorks indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperaturesWorking conditions could include: dust fumes moderate noise and uneven surfacesBenefitsWe value our team members and offer a comprehensive benefits package including:Paid Time Off including Accrued Vacation Floating Holidays Sick Time and more401k with employer matchingMedical Dental and Vision insurance plansDisability insuranceLife insurance coverageThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed.
