\r\n\r\nJob ID: R2000609987 \r\n \r\n\r\nJob  Description:\r\n \r\n\r\nThe Director, Maintenance is accountable for the facility and equipment of our distribution centers nationally. The focus of this position will be to establish and maintain a culture of accountability, innovation, learning and excellence in the execution of regional projects while considering implications nationally. The successful candidate will be a strategic guide, who actively participates in the advancement plans for the network and assists the execution of these initiatives. \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWhat You Will Do: \r\n\r\n\r\n\tInvestigate new methods, equipment, and ideas to improve performance and reduce life cycle costs. \r\n\tAdvance process standardization and best practices across the network – establishment, implementation, and monitoring of standardized processes that result in effective and efficient processes.\r\n\tAdvance innovation in all areas of the business (process, equipment, system\r\n\tConfirms the company adheres to environmental and safety standards required by legislation and corporate policy. \r\n\tCultivate relationships with vendors and suppliers to reduce costs and discern opportunities for improvement. \r\n\tImplement Cetaris nationally and confirm the DC’s are effectively using Cetaris to promote cost savings. \r\n\tMaintain a high level of open exchange of information regarding DC department needs and expectations with DC oversight team.\r\n\tWork cooperatively with other departments (e.g. Health and Safety, Environmental, and Food Safety) to confirm efficient execution of Corporate Strategy. \r\n\tMake recommendations on maintenance equipment needs and creates capital purchases where required. \r\n\tMonitor P&L and maintenance performance for each DC and seek out opportunities for improvements; monitor maintenance performance to confirm low operating costs. \r\n\tCreate capital requests, confirming they are submitted and approved in a timely manner, and completion of approved projects are completed in a timely manner and complying with expectations established. Confirm capital invoices are processed in a timely manner. \r\n\tWork with other regional guides across Canada to optimize network performance and costs. \r\n\tConfirm PM services and Annual Inspections on material handling equipment, refrigeration equipment and other maintenance equipment is being completed and tracked. \r\n\tAssume the role of energy expert; liaise with energy providers, monitor energy performance, and advance improvement initiatives. \r\n\tConduct DC audits for quality assurance purposes. \r\n\tWork cooperatively with the REIT to establish relationships and confirm our facilities are being properly maintained. \r\n\tAccountable for asset oversight (purchasing, upkeep, life cycle costs, replacement, and disposal) and tracking across the network. \r\n\tOversee projects as required. \r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWhat You Will Need: \r\n\r\n\r\n\tMust have effective knowledge of material handling equipment, batteries, refrigeration/HVAC, energy coordination, and maintenance practices. \r\n\tCertified trade or engineering degree would be an asset. \r\n\t5 years Maintenance experience. \r\n\tAbility to travel nationally when required. \r\n\tMust have effective exchange of information, evaluative, and project coordination skills. \r\n\tAbility to work independently and be accountable for achieving department goals. \r\n\tEffective computer skills; experience with Cetaris would be an asset. \r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nOur commitment to Sustainability and Social Impact is an essential part of the way we do business, and we focus our attention on areas where we can have the greatest impact.
