POSITION OVERVIEW
CattleUSA Insurance is seeking a production-focused Insurance Advisor to build and manage a book of business across Livestock Risk Protection (LRP), Pasture Rangeland Forage (PRF), and Multi Peril Crop Insurance (MPCI).
Advisors are expected to meet defined production benchmarks, operate within strict RMA and AIP compliance standards, and contribute to the overall growth of CattleUSA Insurance. This position requires strong industry knowledge, disciplined execution, and the ability to build long-term producer relationships tied to measurable production results.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Production & Book Development
- Build and maintain a personal book of business across LRP, PRF, and MPCI
- Prospect and develop new producer relationships
- Meet established annual production and retention benchmarks
- Maintain consistent policy renewal rates
Client Advisory & Market Execution
- Educate producers on coverage structures, deadlines, and policy mechanics
- Monitor market conditions and identify appropriate protection opportunities
- Execute timely quoting, binding, and servicing of policies
- Align risk protection strategies with producer marketing plans
Compliance & Operational Discipline
- Maintain strict adherence to RMA guidelines and AIP requirements
- Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and policy administration
- Maintain CRM integrity including pipeline management and renewal tracking
- Participate in required compliance training and internal performance reviews
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Up to 20% travel including on-site visits, livestock auction presence, and regional producer engagement. Advisors are expected to maintain consistent in-person visibility within their market areas.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATION
Licensing Requirements
- Crop Insurance License with LRP certification (or willingness to obtain quickly)
- Property & Casualty License as required by state
Industry & Technical Competencies
- Working knowledge of cattle markets and agricultural production cycles
- Understanding of LRP, PRF, MPCI mechanics and USDA deadlines
- Familiarity with RMA compliance standards
- Ability to explain structured risk tools clearly and accurately
Sales & Production Capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to build and retain a book of business
- Comfort operating in a production-driven environment with defined benchmarks
- Strong follow-through and renewal discipline

- Annual production volume and policy retention rates
- Compliance adherence
- Territory development progress

- Base + commission (based on experience and production level)
