\r\n\r\nJob ID: R2000602696 \r\n \r\n\r\nJob Description:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe Senior Manager, Strategic Insights will be responsible for leading a high-impact insights team that brings the voice of the customer, market, and competitive environment into strategic decision-making. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping the company’s growth agenda—translating complex data into actionable recommendations that drive business outcomes in merchandising, marketing, loyalty, digital, and store experience.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\n\r\n\r\n\tStrategic Leadership: Lead the insights agenda to deliver strategic directions to support enterprise priorities—growth, customer loyalty, affordability, and innovation.\r\n\tCustomer & Market Research: Oversee design, execution, and analysis of primary and secondary research, ensuring insights reflect Canada’s multicultural customer base.\r\n\tAdvanced Analytics: Partner with data science, category management, and loyalty teams to uncover deep behavioral, attitudinal, and trend insights.\r\n\tConsultative Influence: Lead projects and act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, framing insights to inform decisions on assortment, pricing, brand positioning, and experience design.\r\n\tTeam Leadership: Coach and mentor a team of insights professionals; foster a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and evidence-based decision-making.\r\n\tInnovation Scanning: Monitor grocery, retail, and consumer trends (including digital adoption, health/wellness, sustainability, and affordability) to identify growth opportunities.\r\n\tCross-functional Collaboration: Build strong partnerships with multiple stakeholder teams to drive collaboration, direction and embed insights across the business.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nQualifications & Experience\r\n\r\n\r\n\tBachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or related field; Master’s degree an asset.\r\n\t8–12 years of progressive experience in consumer insights, market research, strategy, or analytics, preferably within grocery, retail, or CPG.\r\n\tStrong expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods, market segmentation, and brand/consumer tracking.\r\n\tExperience working with advanced analytics, loyalty/customer data, and digital engagement metrics.\r\n\tA strategic and curious approach to problem solving, looking at business problems holistically and creatively.\r\n\tExceptional ability to synthesize data into compelling narratives for senior executives.\r\n\tProven track record of influencing at the executive level and driving business impact through insights.\r\n\tStrong people leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.\r\n\tBilingual (English/French) an asset.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWhat We Offer\r\n\r\n\r\n\tCompetitive compensation and performance-based incentives.\r\n\tComprehensive health and wellness benefits.\r\n\tPension and retirement savings plans.\r\n\tFlexible hybrid work model.\r\n\tOpportunities for growth in one of Canada’s largest and most dynamic industries.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nOur commitment to Sustainability and Social Impact is an essential part of the way we do business, and we focus our attention on areas where we can have the greatest impact.
