JOB TITLE: REGIONAL SALES MANAGER
LOCATION: REMOTE WITHIN REGION OF RESPONSIBILITY - RESIDENCE IN IOWA, ILLINOIS, MISSOURI, NEBRASKA
OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION
The Regional Sales Manager will be BIOTROP’s face within your territory, and co-responsible for the launch of a new business, which brings both great excitement and huge challenges.
The success of this role is measured mainly by revenue generated and BIOTROP’s brand awareness.
The ideal candidate must represent BIOTROP’s values and passion for agriculture and address grower’s and retailer’s challenges with our portfolio of Biological and Natural Solutions and Services.
This position will be responsible for all the commercial interactions in the region, including demand generation with growers on a field level, negotiations and support to Distributors and Retailers, and the construction of a sales team within the territory in the next years.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain relevant relationships with channel partners, growers, and associations within your region of responsibility.
- Report on a weekly basis on business opportunities and progress in the region.
- Build volume and sales forecast for the region and review the monthly forecast.
- Build and manage a team of motivated sales reps, dealers, agents, retailers.
- Be an advocate of BIOTROP`s portfolio, showing our solutions and our team`s capacity.
- Learn and internalize our culture and our portfolio of solutions.
- Lead negotiations of BIOTROP`s portfolio.
- Set up field demo trials and field events in partnership with channel partners and drive demand for products and services.
- Be the interface between the market and BIOTROP`s internal team.
- Execute the strategies defined by Marketing to prospect new customers and retain the current portfolio in its region of operation to achieve sales objectives.
- Prepare monthly reports for discussion with immediate Leadership and other business areas. The aim is to propose improvements or changes in routes, with a focus on delivering monthly/annual results.
- Responsible for generating demand and market development.
- Identify and become a technical reference for opinion leaders and schedule periodic visits for the development of biological/natural products.
- Perform the steps of commercial negotiation, connect the company with its customers, provide technical assistance, and correct product positioning per the regional strategy. This will help maintain the image of products and contribute to the consolidation of brands.
- Pay attention to the competition and inform the company about strategic or tactical movements.

- Willingness to travel regionally. Occasional US national and international trips may be requested for training purposes.
- Legal Residence in one of the above-mentioned states.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- +7 years combined experience in agricultural sales, marketing, field trials, market development.
- +5 years combined experience in sales and/or technical background in row crops (Soybeans, Corn, Cotton, Peanuts, Rice, etc.), mainly in nutrition, crop protection, or BioSolutions.
- Experience in setting and running field trials.
- Negotiation Techniques.
- Ability to train others in the use of products and techniques.
- Ability to create and expand networking.
- Provide differentiated service.
- Active Driver License and drive experience.
