We’re seeking a Ph.D.-level Entomologist with deep expertise in honeybee research and commercial migratory beekeeping. This role is ideal for a published scientist who thrives at the intersection of research and real-world application. You’ll lead initiatives to monitor and improve honeybee health, nutrition, genetics, and forage across our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor colony health across commercial operations in multiple states.
- Design and lead applied research projects in:
- Honeybee disease and pest management
- Nutrition and forage optimization
- Genetic diversity and breeding
- Environmental stressors and resilience
- Oversee the planning and execution of entomological initiatives.
- Translate research into actionable strategies for field teams.
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at industry conferences.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to advance honeybee science.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Entomology (focus on Apiculture or related field)
- 10+ years of honeybee research experience
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals
- Hands-on experience in **commercial migratory beekeeping**
- Proven ability to bridge research and commercial application
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Willingness to travel frequently across operational sites
