\r\n\r\nJob ID: R2000619879 \r\n \r\n\r\nJob Description:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWorking with internal designers, retouchers, editorial, regulatory, product and brand teams you will be responsible for building Prepress ready Production Art files following brand guidelines.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe Production Artist will report to the Sr. Manager, Production and will support both our retail and control brands’ initiatives.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWhat You'll Do:\r\n\r\n\r\n\tPrepare artwork for approvals, ensuring the proper use of print specifications, dielines, Project Listing Information, design, final copy, and brand standards.\r\n\tEnsure Artwork meets specifications from the print vendor, working to ensure artwork is compatible with the specific printing process in use for each project.\r\n\tAddress all comments and concerns from suppliers and other internal departments to complete final artwork.\r\n\tCollaborate with Designers, Re-touchers, Editorial and Proofreaders, and Product teams, as required to achieve project objectives.\r\n\tReview and follow-up to resolve missing information from print specifications, dielines, Project Listing Information, design, final copy, where information is missing, questionable, or if clarification is required.\r\n\tWork within the Loblaw workflow, ensuring necessary tasks are completed at the correct interval and completed properly, to maintain the integrity of the workflow.\r\n\tInteract with various Loblaw databases and systems for retrieving and updating Artwork information, including digital file system.\r\n\tKeep up to date with current developments in software and hardware technologies as applicable to role.\r\n\tAssist in the training and orientation of new Production Artists as required.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWhat You'll Bring:\r\n\r\n\r\n\t5+ years experience producing Artwork, preferably for retail consumer package goods.\r\n\tAbility to create production ready Final Artwork files for various printing processes.\r\n\tStrong attention to detail and possesses an eye for visual balance and design esthetics.\r\n\tAbility to independently layout secondary panel information, Preparation Instructions, Recipes, Ingredients, Nutrition Panels, Etc., to Brand Standards provided.\r\n\tMust be a team player and have the ability to juggle multiple priorities.\r\n\tStrong organization skills with the ability to prioritize and balance conflicting tasks.\r\n\tExtensive knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nOur commitment to Sustainability and Social Impact is an essential part of the way we do business, and we focus our attention on areas where we can have the greatest impact.
